I will be heading to Anchorage and Fairbanks until 11 December. It will be mostly work related but will try and do some sightseeing on the weekends.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do and see while there?

Thanks

I havent been there since 1998 so im sure alot of new things are there. Boscos comics is a pretty cool place to check out for sports cards located on northenlights blvd/spenard road. Looks like there a couple of card shows going on.

Sports Card Shows
Where: The Mall at Sears
When:
October 17 10am -5 pm & 18 12pm-5pm
November 14 10am -5 pm & 15 12pm-5pm

Summer is almost over so fishing might not be a good idea but... Theres ship creek downtown where your able to catch a king salmon or fall victim to it.

Downtown is kinda interesting with all the odd stores like the fur factorys, several museums & a huge mall.

I would also suggest a drive by down this certain exotic block that i believe you would only see something of the sort outside of vegas. On northenlights blvd, 3min past the sears mall youll see a mcdonalds on the left side on the intersection, turn right then the first right.

Never been to fairbanks but always wanted to take the trip to MT Mckinley by train.
