Working deals is what we're all here for. Trading cards, improving collections, helping people out. The bump rule is in place due to a certain group of people who abused the rules. The abuses usually take place on the Sell forums by people trying to sell stuff that nobody else wants. If someone is selling something that is hot, it usually moves fast.
Anyway to answer your question, nobody is going to give you a hard time when you are working on deals, and not just bumping your thread that nobody replies to.
