I have this stub but don't know what year it is from. Can anyone help? $1.00 ticket, .10 tax for a total of $1.10. Grandstand seating. I would imagine someone would have to compare this one against known ones. The back provides no help.
Thanks for any help.

A quick google search turned up this.

It looks like it is from 1945.

Thanks, looks similar but not definative. Actually, the Giants ticket looks more like the one I have although I know mine is a Yankee ticket. The Yankee grandstand ticket looks to be pink that year. Game 16 would have the Yankees beating the Browns 11-0.

Yeah, that was just the closest that I could find. At least to give you a range of years to be looking at.

In 1923, when Yankee Stadium opened, the grandstand ticket price was $1.10. It was $1.25 in 1945. I don't know when it went up to $1.45, but a grandstand stub at $1.10 could be as early as 1923 until the increase, which would have been no later than 1945, and probably earlier.

WOW! Is that so? Looks like this baby can be from several different years as it looks as if the company that made the tix also used the same style for many years (and other teams). I would imagine that the year issued may never be known.
