Topps Sell Sheet

The standard sized cards feature a full color action shot of the maned player. Bordered in white, the card fronts have the set name and logo, player name, and team logo on the bottom and top corner. The card backs are photo-less. The background is of the team's primary color. The card backs also have no biographical information other than the player's name, team and position. There are moderate career highlights are awards detail on the backs.

What I pulled:
190 unique cards
157/200 base set cards - 79% of the case set
30 inserts
2 autos
1 relic
2 checklist cards
1 box topper

Base card front and back:

Keeping with the 60th anniversary of Topps, Lineage highlights some of the most popular players and Topps card designs in the company's history. For as much as I complain about too many inserts, 2011 Topps Lineage MLB rocks! I also really like the mix of retired and veteran stars. The collation was spot on and no duplicates is nice the card design is simple and clean, but I would have liked at least lifetime stats on the back. The 1975 minis are cool, but I really like silk sticker cards and the 3D cards. One of the autos is a sticker auto but is designed to fit the card well. As cool as the inserts are, I still would have like a few more base cards.

The Bottom Line:
I give 2011 Topps Lineage a buy rating rating. You will need one box plus some heavy trading to complete the base set for some nostalgia and some pretty cool looking cards, 2011 Topps Lineage is sure to please!

The Final Score:
Final Ratings (Out of 5):
Base set collect-ability: 4/5
Big-hit Hunter: 3/5
Prospector Hunter:3/5
Overall Design: 5/5
Fun: 5/5
Value: 5/5
Re-buy: 4/5
Overall Quality: 5/5

Overall: 34/40 (85% = B)

As always I am offering base and insert cards to members of The Bench for a SASE

Thanks to Topps for making this review possible!

Your recap is pretty through. Is the Maraino Rivera Stand Up still available, if so I will send a SASE.

Zimmerman GU >is this card taken? i only ask as you didn't respond to my request with the others.
don

At this point only the base and inserts are available, as I mention in the review. I need to get confirmation from Topps on what I can do with the hits. More than likely I will have a contest for all of the hits I have been pulling.
