Best auction description ever.
No, guys, you don't get it. The reason it's so valuable is because of the way Topps, in 1985, was so accurately able to predict all the stats for 1986, 1987, and 1988. In fact, this whole "1985" set is known for that, I believe. About a year ago I saw someone asking $300 a pop for 1989 Topps...- Daniel_B

Congrats. I sent my Ryno out last Monday, and got him back today, too. Did he seal your envelope? He didn't with mine, so it's pretty lucky that the card was still inside by the time it got here. :eek: -

Thanks, guys. :) I know what you mean, but: A) The guy had a great career. Close to a .290 lifetime hitter, and over 2700 hits. It's a shame he's remembered for just that one play. He had a great year for the Sox in '86, and without him they don't even get to the WS. And B) '04 and '07... -

Especially excited to get Lance Parrish, since he was one of my favorite players as a kid, and I'd been waiting on these since July. And these 2 from ebay: I'll have to count 'em up, but I think I'm more than half done with the Red Sox now... :cool:
