    What is the most you ever spent on a single card?

    The most I've ever spent on a single card was for my dream card, a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #144, that I later got graded a BVG 1. I bought it raw on eBay about 5 years ago, and grand total with shipping and grading fees I'm into it for $683.65. The last BVG 1 sold for $855 and I still have mine...

    Well, in my opinion you can "argue" that he is the greatest, he may or may not be. Nice pulls on the autos, I LOVE that they did that set, great stuff! I have a PSA DNA of Rose, but I'll have to get one of those pack certified autos one of these days.

    "If not the greatest player of all time" implies that he can be argued as such. Whether he is or not I didn't say. I would definitely put Ruth ahead of him, DiMaggio... not so sure about that but I can see the argument. Definitely a top 10 (without question) in my opinion.

    He is banned from the Hall of Fame, but he is still in good standing with the MLBPA. His name has popped up on Topps cards, 2006 for sure (reverse of Shawn Green's single). Even if the licensing were an issue, why put a blurb on the card that would leave Rose out? Why not take the high road...
