Thread: Very Sad News

  1. #31
This is awful news. Curtis just passed away recently and now Randy. Over the years Randy has sent countless Eagles football cards to my twin boys, asking for nothing in return. I've had some very deep conversations with him over the years. He will be missed by all. My prayers are with the family and friends of Randy at this difficult time.

Wow, very sad news. I just spoke with him a couple of nights ago on AIM. Was talking about the collection he had to sort through that he had purchased. We chatted for about an hour it seems. Really sad, and makes you think how quickly our lives and the lives of our loved ones can change. Puts things in perspective. RIP and my prayers go out to his loved ones, Tony.

Although I never had a trade with him, I always enjoyed reading his comments. He was a great member and he will be missed.

He was only 47 too. Most people think of people dying when they're old and retired, or at the very least in an accident.

I remember when I helped him out with a list of Bengals & Reds cards with my old Card Collector software. I once e-mailed him an auction link for a book that was a game premium from a Reds game that showed a picture of every Reds card Topps made until 1980-something.

Randy and I traded a few times. He was always great to deal with. He helped me out last year with lots of great tourist info when my family went to Cincy for a Reds/Cardinals game.

This is terribly sad news. I think everyone here knows Randy's contributions to the site not only as a mod, but also as a trader and a friend. His presence here will be missed by us all.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Randy's family. I just cannot believe it. He was a heckuva guy, always gave kind words of encouragement when other Benchies were in difficult situations. Not to mention the tremendous work he put in to make the Bench community what it is today. Rest in Peace, my friend.
