Today brought back Terry Harmon after 19 days. He signed both the 73 and 75 Topps for me and answered my questions. I also got Steve Decker, former S.F catcher in 11 days on a 1991 Fleer Ultra. He too answered my questions. Happy collecting.

Today brought back Tom Brewer. He signed 1 index card and not the other. He also didn't answer any of the included questions. 13 days. I also got back Cloyd Boyer, brother of Clete and Ken Boyer. He signed both index cards but he too didn't answer any questions. 20 days All in all not too bad, but I love to hear their responses to the questions I ask. I mailed out 4 today including my first ST letter. Hopefully will have a great year. Happy collecting.

    2 from 10/1/1961

I had 2 returns from the Red Sox from players who were there on 10/1/1961 when Maris broke the record. First was Pumpsie Green, who was playing SS that day. He signed my index card and answered one question. 23 days. Second was Joe Ginsberg. I got a letter back from his family that he was very ill and wasn't able to sign anything from his fans. They did include 2 small pictures of Joe during his playing days with the Tigers and Mets that were signed before his illness. Very nice but sad success. Hope he gets along better. Happy collecting.

    set hit and a Tartabull

First I got back Jeff Huson on a 1991 Topps for my set hit and also on a 91 Fleer Ultra. Great cards to get signed. He didn't answer any questions. 8 days. I also got back Jose Tartabull on 2 index cards. He answered my questions about his career and his son Danny. This is my third father son return, following the Law's and the Schofields. Happy collecting.

Been a bit since I have posted

I have been working a lot out of town, so I haven't had a chance to post too much. I have had some successes as of late though. I got back Don Schwall, 1961 ROY for the Sox, and another who was present the day Maris hit 61. He actually pitched the day before to Maris. He signed both index cards and answered my questions. Mailed out in January, don't know when returned but sometime in Feb. I also got back Bob Duliba who signed my index cards and answered my questions. Same time frame. Jim Robertson, returned my index cards signed but didn't answer any questions about his career. I may send a couple cards to Schwall and Duliba since I know I have got returns. I also got back Willie Frasor on 2 1991 Topps for my set in 30 days, he too didn't answer any questions. Kelly Gruber signed my cards and returned them in 96 days and also answered my questions. Last Frank Pastore returned my 1987 topps signed and also included a signed bible card. He didn't answer my questions in 31 days. I didn't get as many ST sent out as I wanted, but I still am writing hoping to get a few more out this week, but haven't got any successes yet, but keeping my fingers crossed. So glad baseball is back. Happy collecting.

    Back from Oaktown

I have been travelling a lot for work lately, but I am home I hope for a long while. When I returned on Sat. went to PO Box and had 2 returns waiting on me. First, was my first ST success of 2012. Jordan Zimmermann, mailed March 7th, got back sometime last week on a 2011 Allen and Ginter. Next was Bert Campenaris which I mailed out on Feb 4th. Mailed him a 79 Topps. Both signed the cards but didn't answer any of my questions I had enclosed. I also was in Tustin CA for a bit and went by Jarrod and Brandi's shop from Storage Wars. Jarrod was there and really nice. Took picture with him and got his sig. I also bought a Tshirt that was signed by him and Brandi for my daughter. Happy collecting.

Haven't been to PO Box today, but read that Mel Parnell had passed away. As a red Sox fan and a TTM fan I was sad to hear the news. I had written Mel early in my hobby for my dad, and he was so nice to respond. He will be missed.

    HOF day

Today I got back my letter from Senator Jim Bunning in 15 days. I mailed out to him on March 7th a letter and index card and a question sheet. He signed my index card, but didn't respond to any of my questions. This was my second attempt of Mr. Bunning and first success. I mailed out to his KY address but postmark was from FT Myers FL. Maybe watching some ST games? Happy collecting.
