What Was You Wedding Song...And what song do you want played at your funeral?

This is one of those get to know you post, and I think it's interesting to see what everyone says, and what it says about them

    Wedding Song:
Amazed--Lonestar. A beautiful song, that was HUGE the year we started going out, hated that they had to remix it for pop-radio though. A good song is a good song.

    Funeral Song(s):
    Amazing Grace--Elvis Presley
    This is a Song--Garth Brooks
"Tomorrow isn't promised to any of us"Kirby Puckett at his retirement speech July 16th 1996

    great choice for funeral song!!

I was thinking 'red solo cup' - toby keith (though it has already been over played) may need to go with 'this is the end' The Doors

Depends on which Marriage But I will go with "BY HEART" Pretty sure that is the title, that is from my last and final marriage. As for my funeral do not want a song. If you ever heard a recording of children just laughing, mostly babies you will know what I mean. It is one of the happiest sounds I have ever heard. And by the way my current marriage is the best and just wish it was the 1st one.

My wedding song was "Tapestry" by Carol King

My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hues.
An ever lasting vision of the ever changing views.
A wondrous world of magic in bits of blue and gold
A tapestry to feel and see impossible to hold

Once amid the soft silver sadness in the sky
There came a man of fortune, just a drifter passing by.
He wore a torn and tattered cloth around his leathered hide
And a coat of many colors, yellow green on either side

He moved with some uncertainty as if he didn't know
Just what he was there for or where he ought to go
Once he reached for something golden hanging from a tree
And his hand came down empty.

Soon within my tapestry along the rutted road
He sat down on a river rock and he turned into a toad
It seems as if he'd fallen into someones mistic spell
And I wept to see him suffer tho I did not know him well

As I watched in sorrow there suddenly appeared
a figure grey and ghostly beneath the flowing beard
In times of deepest darkness I've seen him dressed in black
Now my tapestry's unraveling he's come to take me back

For my funeral I'd take "Yesterday Once More" by The Carpenters

    When I was young
    I'd listen to the radio
    Waitin' for my favorite songs
When they played I'd sing along
    It made me smile

    Those were such happy times
    And not so long ago
How I wondered where they'd gone
    But they're back again
Just like a long lost friend
All the songs I loved so well

    Every sha-la-la-la
    Every wo-o-wo-o
    Still shines
    Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
    That they're startin' to sing's
    So fine

When they get to the part
    Where he's breakin' her heart
It can really make me cry
    Just like before
    It's yesterday once more

    Lookin' back on
How it was in years gone by
And the good times that I had
    Makes today seem rather sad
    So much has changed

    It was songs of love
That I would sing to then
    And I'd memorize each word
    Those old melodies
Still sound so good to me
As they melt the years away

    Every Sha-la-la-la
    Every Wo-o-wo-o
    Still shines
    Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
    That they're startin' to sing's
    So fine

    All my best memories
    Come back clearly to me
Some can even make me cry
    Just like before
    It's yesterday once more

    Every Sha-la-la-la
    Every Wo-o-wo-o
    Still shines
    Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
    That they're startin' to sing's
    So fine

    Every Sha-la-la-la
    Every Wo-o-wo-o
    Still shines
    Every shing-a-ling-a-ling
    That they're startin' to sing's
    So fine

Not married yet, and probably not for a long time , but I my choices are "Everything I Do, I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams, "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica, or "Linger" by The Cranberries.

Funeral Song would probably be "Highway to Hell" AC/DC...just kidding. I would want one of two songs played, "Everything's Alright" from Jesus Christ Superstar, or whatever my family wants.
I collect any and all Yankees game used/autos as long as the player is in a Yankees uniform. I prefer home uniforms with a stripe, but any game used is fine. Also collect Mantle sets such as the 96'/97' Topps base set, HR History, etc. Check my site for my wants.
