Today I received the following:

1972 Sonny Jackson Topps 318 Braves
1973 Sonny Jackson Topps 403 Braves

Sonny Jackson burst onto the scene in a pretty big way. After the Houston Colt .45s served him cups of coffee for three years, he was second in the Rookie of the Year voting in 1966. During the course of a 12-year career, he compiled a .251 average. He also received one Hall of Fame vote in 1980. I love that he was a coach after he retired, serving in the minor league organizations of the Giants and Braves and with the major league club in San Francisco.
