I think Blake Snell can sneak in and steal the AL Cy Young if Sale stays out for the rest of the regular season.

That is a great point - I completely overlooked Snell.... He may just win it regardless of Sale coming back or not.

How about Ramirez and Kluber for AL MVP and Cy Young? And Nola is the best bet for NL Cy Young. He has buried the Nationals and beaten Scherzer a few times. But De Grom should not be considered in my opinion. He has a .500 record at best. And please do not tell me about how bad his team is. Steve Carlton played on a horrendous team and won 27 games.

See..this is what happens when you try to do things on the fly!!! I overlooked the Tribe for award consideration. And I overlooked Ohtani in the AL and Soto in the NL for ROY. It will definitely be a better horse race than last year, when everything seemed to be pretty well decided prior to the end of September.

    AL MVP - Mookie Betts

NL Cy Young - Jacob deGrom
AL Cy Young - This is tough. I agree that Sale needs to pitch again a few more times and if he does he will win. If not I say Snell as he has been so good lately and has fantastic numbers overall.

    NL ROY - Ronald Acuna
AL ROY - Miguel Andujar/Gleyber Torres. One of the two will get it.

Good all on Baez as NL MVP! He has as good a case to win it as anyone else at this point.

I think we can officially remove Ohtani from ROY consideration. Looks like it will be one of the Baby Bombers.

    I dunno.

    Andujar: 1.8 WAR .297/23/76

    Torres: 2.8 WAR .277/22/66

    Ohtani: 3.5 WAR .287/18/47

They seem pretty well matched up. Ohtani hasn't played as much, because of his pitching appearances, and his time on the DL. Ohtani has the WAR advantage, that voters really look at, he's right there in homers and average.

If he finishes out the season without surgery - I keep him in the race.

Feel like I overlooked JD Martinez for AL MVP -- has been a beast all year.

I will stay on the potential bandwagon...as long as he finished out the year and doesn't get surgery. Of course, the longer the Angels wait to have the surgery done, the further out in the future until his return. They aren't contending, not sure why they wouldn't have already done the surgery.

What I am enjoying is that everything is still up for grabs, it is what keeps the conversation going. Scherzer throws a CG win yesterday for the Nats, have to consider him for CY in the NL.
