i found one of my "lost" stacks of hobby reserve yesterday ....this batch had just short of 300 cards in it ....i got my set organized last night and i actually had a enough for a complete 220-card set , but 9 of the cards had some form of damage that made me hold those out.....

while i have an extra day or two of potential storm-related down time i would like to try to move these leftovers....i have on hand 68 duplicates plus 10 more lightly damaged singles....though i know i have a few of these with the HR prefix somewhere here , all the cards in THIS batch are those WITHOUT the prefix....

sooooo....if anyone here is in need of any specific players or teams from this set , let me know and i'll see what i have....

also , for those unaware , if you check book values , beckett has the pricing on the hobby resrve singles and the reserve collection parallels reversed....

You happen to have the Goin' Yard Jeff Bagwell #502?

as noted in my OP.....these do not have the HR prefix.....

another extra note regarding these - they are not 2 different sets ...actually they are just variations found in the same product....some say that approximately 50% of the production run featured the HR prefix while others have estimated that only about 20% of the production run got the prefix before the change was made....while i personally tend to believe the 20% number is more nearly correct , which is true is really anybody's guess , and from everything i've gathered , both versions are generally valued equally ....

below is the list of extra i have on hand along with their adjusted BV's : (the bottom 10 are those with minor damage - mostly just light corner dings)

Another set note. There are a few errors and the 2 that I know about because I have them are:
1997 Score Hobby Reserve #HR373 Rondell White MON - ERROR (Julian Tavarez on back)
1997 Score Hobby Reserve #HR380 Gary Sheffield FLA - ERROR (Rick Helling on back)

I missed the note about not having the HR prefix, sorry. But your list now shows HR prefixes...?

i did a copy and paste from the beckett checklist which shows the prefix for all cards...i fully intended to edit those out but in my haste , i forgot ...

there is also no card number 514.....jim thome is listed as 514 in the checklist , but he and gary sheffield are both numbered 515

was looking through an old tub today and found my stack of these so figured i may as well try them again....the list in post #5 is up to date and although the book values posted are from last year , i really doubt they've changed much...

willing to sell as singles or feel free to make an offer on the entire lot....

Do the HR prefix cards have the same bv as the non HR prefix or are they more due to their greater scarcity?

from all i could ever find out, both seem to be valued the same....honestly i don't know if either version is more plentiful than the other....i've heard it's roughly 50/50 and have heard others say 80/20.....my own opinion that it's uneven is strictly anecdotal , but then with no shops here and very few collectors around here my experience may be polar opposite of people in other areas .....as noted , beckett is pretty much screwed up on these ....my OPG is currently off for a few days , but at last check they still had the values reversed for the hobby resrve singles and the reserve collection parallels and doesnt actually acknowledge there being varsions both with and without the hr prefix....
