It seems like people either like Heritage a lot or not at all. Not much middle ground.

I really like the idea of Heritage. To use older set patterns with current players. It reminds me of collecting when I was a kid. I stopped collecting when I was a Sophomore in high school. That was 1971. In 1971 I only had a few hundred cards, but in both 69 & 70 I completed the Topps base set. So as far as reminiscing, 2019 Heritage is the last year for me to collect the set, because they are doing the 1970 pattern this year.

Then again, I don't know if I want to put $500+ into the set. I figure it would take at least $500 to get the full set with 100 short prints. Most of the short prints would have to come from ebay, unless this were a 10 year mission. Also, I don't have much to trade. My collection at this point consists of about 100 GU and Auto that I use for Fantasy League prizes. I haven't dome any sets in recent years. I think 2014 Gypsy Queen may be the last. As I forsee things now, this is the year to do Heritage set. Now or perhaps never.

I like the Heritage set......I don't like the 100 short prints.......if they reduced the short print down to 25 or 30 players would be nice. Best regards, David

I just remembered, there are the Heritage high numbers that come out in the Fall. That's about another 250 base cards with shortprints. It might take $1,000 to complete the set, and I could then sell it on ebay for less than $200.

Most set collectors still collecting.....most don't like the short prints.....to many of them......if it was limited to only 10 to 20 ....would make it a little easily on the set collectors. Best regards, David
