I love this group. While I'm sure we all aspire to MT cards, these represent what we had as kids. Our cardboards heroes, somewhat scuffed from the years of play, but still looking back at us who prized having them in our hands.
Thanks for sharing.

All of the ones you scanned in are great - I just took special notice of the two 71's as that is a set I am currently building. I have the Seaver, but still need to find the Carlton.

Just saw this. That is sweet. Very unique! Is there a story behind how you acquired it?

Picked it up at a local Memphis card show about 15 years ago........Was just slowly getting back into the hobby back then as funds were tight.........The gentleman that I bought it from was from Marked Tree, AR, a small town in eastern Arkansas........Sadly he pass away two years ago..........

I enjoy hearing those types of stories (except for his passing). Back in the day I went to many, many card shows and also travelled along the east coast (Virginia, the Carolinas, FLA) on my vacations searching out shows and shops and flea markets. Meeting the people was almost as much fun as finding those elusive cards to finish sets!
Thanks.

Some neat stuff and digging that 51 Bowman Williams,Steve. Get that puppy graded.
Haven't done much with cards in a month or so but had a few cool mail days last month. When I get my computer fixed I'll post them.
