Got the chance to see the Phillies in person on Saturday night - catastrophic mess!!! Kapler and his entire staff need to be fired!!! Their pitching staff made the Padres hitters all look like Tony Gwynn. On the plus side, the stadium is nicer than I remembered, hadn't been there in probably 12+ years.

Beginning to think that Oakland may be the 5th team to make the playoffs from the AL. And Minnesota/Cleveland looks to be a race that will go down to the final weekend!!

Dug the Cubs/Pirates unis for the game this evening in Williamsport - love that they are playing there every year. Would have been fun to go for three stadiums in three nights, but exhausted after hitting two in two nights!

Took some 9th inning magic to make that happen....And right now, it seems like it was 100 years ago.

And for all the talk of a juiced ball -- we have been to 3 games this year and seen a total of ONE HR. That was Realmuto on Saturday night.

The Sox have to shut down Chris Sale for up to 6 weeks - don't see Boston making a run at the playoffs without him going out there every 5th day.

Alonso sets the NL rookie HR record - will he be able to get the ML record before all is said and done??? With Tatis missing the remainder of the season, he has to be the presumptive rookie of the year.....

The Phillies season in a nutshell.....Stake your starter to a 7 run lead and end up losing 19-11..TO THE MARLINS!!!!!! Velazquez/Pivetta/Eflin all need to go. As does Kapler.

Dig the black and white players weekend unis - my only suggestion would be for the white home unis, use one of the team colors for the names on the back, so they can be seen a bit easier.

AL Central/NL Central and both WC slots in both leagues are going to be a fun follow for the rest of the year!

Hmmm..groundhog day...phillies stake Nola to a 2 run lead, and he gives up 3 in the bottom of the same inning. This team is borderline unwatchable at this point..until Kapler goes, they don't have a shot.

The Tribe losing Ramirez to a broken wrist is a huge blow. He was ice cold to start the season, but was hot as could be over the last month or so.

Judge is the 3rd fastest to 100 HR's in terms of games played - he seems to be heating up a bit as we enter the stretch run.

And than there are the Phillies -- Sean Rodriguez walks one off and than says in post game interview the fans shouldn't be booing him...umm, you were 1-20 before that HR, with 11 strikeouts, pretty sure they can boo you. And Rhys, way to drop the relay throw on the double play and let the winning run score - you are having a stellar year. And to Gabe Kapler who had a tie score and runners and 1st/2nd with no outs and chose not to bunt them over and instead ended up having a double play turned against you because your base runner forgot the basic principal of not straying off the bag on a line drive. Just an absolute trainwreck of a team that can't handle the basics. Not to mention losing 2 of 3 to the Marlins - how does that happen when you are in a playoff race...ARGGGHHHH!!!!

Other than that, enjoying the season very much thank you!

It has been fun watching the Twins this year - something tells me that the Tribe has at least one more run in them before the season is out. Twins have an easier schedule (by opponent winning %) than the Tribe to finish out the season. AL wild card is pretty much down to Tribe/A's/Rays - lots of fun left for lots of fans.

Forgot to mention Pete Alonso setting the Mets team record for HR's as a rookie...first player to do that for any team.

The Phillies bullpen blows another one - after Nola pitches a gem through 6 innings....

I know I will get his name wrong, but Aritesmes Aquino - Cincinnati Reds - knocks Cody Bellinger out of the record books by hitting the most home runs in a calendar month by a rookie, as he got his 14th two nights ago in Miami.

Verlander tosses his 3rd no-no! Joins a select few who have thrown that many. I haven't heard or seen the list - only name off the top of my head that I could come up with is Nolan Ryan.

The NL Central is beating each other up - they may knock one or both of their wild card contenders out of the hunt if they keep it up. Phillies lose 2 of 3 to the Mets, and tried to get swept, but even Kaplers ineptitude couldn't allow that to happen. If there is a worse game manager than Kapler in professional sports, I would love to hear about it!!!

AL wild card still looks undecided with the Rays/Indians/A's fighting it out. The Twins seem to be in the drivers seat in the AL Central, and at worst a wild card slot.
