I actually think the Browns were favored in that game - since they were at home.

Suspensions came quickly after the fight.

    Garrett - indefinite
    Pouncy - 3 games
    Ogulbike - 1 game

    Probably pretty fair all around.

The NFL gave Kapernick a stage to perform on and than he complained about it and changed the workout spot a couple hours before it was supposed to happen - can't understand why no one wants this guy on their team. He might have the talent, but as Crash Davis once said - you got a 5 cent head. I would rather go 5-11 with Ryan Tannehill or Mason Rudolph than 6-10 with Kapernick. Just not worth the trouble.

Compare it to someone like Michael Vick who took his suspension, appeared remorseful about it - and did and said all the right things coming back - got a 2nd chance and made the most of it.

San Francisco and Minnesota almost crushed a lot of dreams in terms of eliminator pools - but prevailed in the end. I was sweating it out with Dallas....

pretty quiet weekend in the NFL, considering how it started out....

Kaepernick showed up to his tryout wearing a politically provocative tee shirt. And he wouldn't use the NFL facility because the host didn't allow press to cover the events. So Kaepernick changed venue to a local high school. That's why their was such a low turnout. The fact that he must have the press present categorizes this as a publicity stunt to get out Kaepernick's agenda.

Based on how he is trying to steer the narrative, he absolutely doesn't want to play in the NFL anymore. He wants to continue using his past in the NFL to be able to keep his name in the news so he doesn't become totally irrelevant. This tryout was a job interview, his workout gear clearly held a thinly veiled metaphor of how he felt the NFL treated him - there is no team that is going to take a backup quarterback that would bring nothing but drama to them.

He didn't kneel until he was benched. He opted out of his contract before the Niners could release him. He had a job offer coming from the Ravens before his girlfriend said some unsavory things about Ray Lewis and the Ravens owner. none of those things show me anything other than a person who is only concerned about himself and has no interest in helping a team get better.

His 15 minutes are up, time for someone else to get the spotlight, and hopefully for better reasons!
