    1989 sf giants reunion

The Giants held a reunion for their pennant winning 1989 team yesterday. Since my handle is 89Giants I figured I should go haha. 1989 was the first year my parents started taking me to games at the 'stick. My favorite player growing up was Will Clark. Id met him before but ran into him after the game and not only did I get an autograph but I got a pic with him as well. Super nice guy. I did pretty good with the alumni just walking around pre and post game. It was fun to see the guys so many years later.

That was one of my favorite Giant teams, too (had a 20 game plan that year and probably went to 30 games). I attended yesterday and enjoyed the ceremony greatly, the Giants brass really puts a lot of effort into these alumni events and it was terrific. Truly touching moment when Roger "Humm Baby" Craig was introduced and Bruce Bochy escorted him onto the field....think Roger was Bruce's first manager in SD.
