10-27-2019, 03:19 PM #1Triple Threads
Triple Threads
One master box - 2 mini boxes - 7 cards per mini box
Each mini-box contains an auto and one relic card
I received these:
Base - 6x - of the set of 100
Seaver, Lindor, C, Jones, Y. Molina, Ruth, and Betts
Triple Threads is a premium issue. The cards are thick with a high gloss front and gold foil imprinting. They really look good. If one would want to get one graded, be careful of the corners -- easily dinged!
The reverse is colorful and easy to read. Players stats include both personal and career MLB stats along with the Triple Take synopsis of a highlight of his career.
I am a bit torn as to suggest that Triple Threads is an issue for the set builder. One receives only 6 base cards in the master box.... at that rate, one will need to pick up at least 17 master boxes to have enough (depending entirely on collation) for the base set. I tend to lean toward the player collector for Triple Threads. One will have a number of parallels, different relic cards, white whales, autos in several varieties -- all of which might be fun to chase of your favorite player.
Inserts/Parallels
Purple
Soto and Gwynn both #ed to 299
Green and Gold
Green - Soto #ed to 259
Gold - Ruth #ed to 75
RELICS
Jumbo Relic
David Price #ed to 36
Triple Relic
Luis Castillo #ed to 9
AUTOS
Willians Astudillo #ed to 99
Triple Relic/Auto
Paul Goldschmidt -- triple patch -- 1/1
One drawback -- the auto is a sticker .... looks good, but still a sticker on a premium product.

Overall grade A+
If one finds a Ray or 3 in this issue, let me know, and we'll do some trading!!

10-28-2019, 10:57 AM #4Being a Cards fan, that Goldschmidt is AWESOME!!!! I didn't even notice the 1/1 until I read David's comment and went back and looked. Guess I was so in awe of the card in general, didn't even notice that part. GREAT PULL!!!

Kevin McReynolds
10-28-2019, 12:04 PM #6Especially considering the /99 is on-card, yeah, that sticker sits funny for me. This is such a weird set every year, but a 1/1 is always nice!
Collecting: Kevin McReynolds, Keith Hernandez, Pete Harnisch, and Mets autographs

10-28-2019, 09:04 PM #8Triple Threads is almost always sticker autos. Been that way for years sadly. Still an awesome card though.
I have interest in the two Soto parallels if they are available, thanks.
Great break btw!-Brian Orakpo, Sean Taylor, and Craig Kimbrel Super Collector!
