Thread: TTM right now?

    TTM right now?

Is anyone still sending out during the current craziness?

I am assuming that the recipients are sitting around doing nothing, just like the rest of us. But wonder if they would have reservations about receiving/opening mail right now (although they shouldn't).

I have not received anything since the initial mailing earlier on.... what I understand is that clubs have sent their players home. That is more likely the place to mail to....

I sent one out, to Max Kepler in mid Feb, but nothing back...

It has been a couple months since I have sent anything out - and the mailbox has been dry for quite some time. Kind of feel like this would a perfect time for all these athletes and celebs to sit down and sign a bunch. One to pass the time, two, ramp up a positive feeling about their respective sports. Keep the fans interested.

Hoping that the USPS continues to be considered essential! Good luck getting returns, hope you hit the jackpot!

I have been sending out like crazy. My job normally keeps me busy, but I am 50% working and 50% paid vacation for the last three weeks. I have sent 40 out in the last three weeks. Have four successes so far. All of my stuff is to retired players. I have had more players answer my questions and add notes than usual. Most stuff has been to 85% and higher signers.

I have considered going back through my 1979 topps baseball fails and trying again on some of them.

That is fantastic -- best of luck with the returns. I think I am also hesitant because I don't want to spend a lot of time at the PO buying stamps right now.

4 out of 40 is not fantastic at all... particularly given that these are signers with an 85% success rating. I think that's a sign of what's going on. With all the time many of us have, it would be a great time to get mailings done, but I think these players are now a little shy about their mail, even though the odds of contacting the virus is .00000015 through the mail (and if you were to pick up the virus through the mail, with those odds, maybe the next stop would be Vegas). So I think there is a major slowdown in everything including, sadly, TTM returns....
