The 3x AS and 3x GG is doing quite well this year, in financial terms. Vernon is getting paid $21M to sit at home right now, $2.4M by the Yankees and the other $18.6M by the Angels. He was cut by the Yankees back in January after an unspectacular 2013... and 2012... and a could've been better 2011 to clear the Yankees logjam they created with signing Beltran, Ellsbury, and keeping Gardner and Ichiro. Also these do not look like the rumored secretarial signatures people got back from him before, so that is a plus. He has a very low return rate and hadn't being signing in quite some time, so future senders should be cautious when sending to him (maybe I should send my printing plate for him to sign next!
