This is a repost from 2010. Just a reminder from the mod team for 2011.

As most of you all know by now, we have a very diverse population on The Bench. Lately---as well as in the past---we have had some instances where people's opinions and views tread on each others' beliefs and values.

We would like to state that as an organization, The Bench is completely neutral when it comes to any of these situations. However it must be stated...

Political rants and rebuttals, as well as religious overtones or condemnations have no place here. We're all a group of people with SPORTS and CARDS in common. This is not the place to be arguing over these things.

Good-natured discussion is always a great thing regardless of the topic, yet we are consistantly unable to reproduce good-natured discussion when these topics are brought up on The Bench. Politics and Religion can easily be promoted, conversed, and put down in multiple other venues within the realm of the internet. Let's all try to get along and keep what we have in common in mind as well. No matter what the driving reason behind your lives and beliefs, it never hurts to just be nice to people as well.

As such, anything red-flagged for this will be locked/warned. Please be considerate of all members on the Bench.

Jeremy
