So here's what I cut out of my Dad's scrap book. One day I'll start the tedious process of taking the paper off the back of each and trying my best to clean them up.

This is one I already cleaned up a little. As best I could... '62 Post Roger Maris

I'm wondering if the Mantle and Maris you posted are cereal (plain cardboard backs) or ad backs (bright white paper with a Post Cereal ad)? I don't think there is a huge difference in value between the two but those were the only 2 csards in the 200 card set that had that variation.

Good luck on removing the paper off the backs. I'll be curious to see if you have any other big names.

@rlschles

You are correct that it is Butch Byrd! I looked into it and it seems that the only card with his name listed as Butch and not George is his 1966 Topps! Great player!

Scobes

Scobes is on a hot streak lately! 2 AFL cards and this one is from my absolute favorite football set of all time. The first card issues I remember were the 1965 Topps and Philadelphia football cards but the 1966 Topps with the cool TV format and the bright orange and white backs is my #1.

If you have the hard to find Funny Ring Checklist from that set I'd be more than impressed!! Most of those got thrown away since they were not really football cards.

Riscles is absolutely correct about him being known mostly as Butch. You surprised me when you said this is his only card using that nickname!

Thanks. They are both cardboard backs so I was able to get the glue off without worrying about messing up the script like the Aaron I posted earlier. Just had to make sure I didn't cut through with the xacto.

To quote the former ECW Heavyweight Champion and one half of The Impact Players......

"Now that's not just the coolest"
"Now that's not just the best"
"Now that my friends...............IS JUSTIN CREDIBLE!"

2 of my favorite things, 1960s Football and 1990s Extreme Championship Wrestling all in one post! Nice!

From the looks of it you might want to get that graded. Unmarked, well centered, corners look good. A few years ago that booked for $300 which was higher than the Namtath card ($250) from that set. Not sure what it books for now but that is an awesome looking card you have there.

Nail thru Head always cracked me up!
