Black Friday and my birthday came in the same weekend this year, so got to open a few boxes.
First was a blaster box of 2013 Topps Update. Puig and Wacha RCs among others. Beat the odds on inserts, but nothing outstanding.

Next, two boxes of 2012 Leaf History of Baseball - in the first was a Buck Leonard auto (not spectacular, but good for my HOF auto collection). The other was Hoot Evers, a two-time all-star for the Tigers
Finally a hobby box of 2008 UD Goudey
The first pack had the 1 GU per box: Russell Martin (ugh - the 2nd one I have)
RCs: Longoria, Scherzer, Kershaw
5 Yankee Stadium Legacy cards (1 Mattingly)
10 minis, including Verlander red back, JR Towles green back (#/99), Saltalamacchia black back (#/34)
Hit parade of Champiions Emmitt Smith, Mario Lemieux
10 SPs including Clemens, Yount, Gibson, Favre, E. Smith, Messier
and the best for last, a Sport Royalty auto of
Ken Griffey Jr.!!!
also going into the PC.
Seems like 2008 is a good year for me - the other great auto I have pulled in the past (Ripken #/25) was from 2008 Donruss Threads.
I have decided to try and finish the set including all SPs, so let me know if you have any.
