I'd very much like to work out a trade with you, but I think we are off a bit on our values of the cards and just wanted to work through that with you. I don't have nor do I use a Beckett. There is plenty of online activity for all of this stuff and I've dealt enough with the 2001 Bowman Chrome RC Refractors to know that they are worth about $.50 cents per common.

From me:
Russell - $10
Wacha - $5
$15 total cash value

From you:
Mesoraco - $7.50
2001 Ref - $.50
$8 total cash value

Do you have another $5-7 auto from my list you could add in to get this a little closer? I'd also take the cash difference of $7 and since this is part trade, I'll cover the shipping costs.

If you'd like to share with me the beckett values for the items we are talking about, I may reconsider. I have no idea what these book for. And it's not that I won't go by Beckett values... I will, so long as I'm not getting taken for a ride. I dont' have any hard and fast guidelines as to how I will trade and if you look at my most recent transactions on here, they have mainly been based on book for book trade values.

I understand the usefulness of a guided value, but they are not the only source of such a thing. You are relying on a publication that is outdated by the time it hits the store shelves and doesn't keep up with real time sales. eBay gives you just as many options to look at actual sales and is certainly more reliable as to "value" at any given time for trading in my opinion.

I'm not relying on anything that is outdated. I couldn't tell you when the last time it was I bought a Beckett Magazine. I use the Online Price guide which is continually updated.

Both autos book for $15.
