It pays to watch even overpriced store items, this $50 tough parallel of Cal Ripken Jr I needed for a 55% finished 1994 TSC 1st Day Set was $31.25, but went on sale yesterday at 40% off. I pulled the trigger today at $18.75 delivered.

Got a steal in my close to finished 1993 TSC 1st Day set (about 86%) when I sniped this #665 Greg Maddux for $1.04 plus $2.50 shipping, it's a $25 card that I already have one of, but I could use the #2 Greg Maddux from the set so it's good for trading.



Got another steal on a 1993 Stadium Club 1st Day Issue #40 Ripken, for $9.50 delivered, it's a $50 card that I either will sell along with that second Maddux in my duplicate set that has 577/750 cards with lots of stars (thinking between $400 and $500) or use to trade for the 35 cards I am now needing for the primary set.

My Ripken 1st Day Issue came today, in a bubble envelope, but in an unsealed CardSaver I where it slipped out of the softsleeve and to the edge of the outside of the CardSaver I. Under my magnifying glass there is a touch to the upper left corner, but it could have been disasterous!
