I suppose they are doing this so they don't have to increase prices. Just a guess. I haven't seen any prices yet.
Preliminary looked like $89.95/hobby. $169.95/jumbo. I think those were the numbers that I saw.
2023 Topps series 1 330 players......2024 350. Less cards and it cost more! Happy Valentine day to everyone!
Now even the Jumbo's are not safe from reduction of cards....and the price is higher than last year! No longer putting together two sets....from now on..one set with the duplicates being the rookie cards. Best regards, David

I just looked at the odds over on the topps site and it looks like 1 gold for every two hobby boxes. 1 Per jumbo box. They printed a TON of this stuff.
They are printing a ton of everything - it is almost like the late 80's/early 90's all over again. The only difference is that instead of pure base cards, they keep making up colored inserts of 500 to 1000 to make you think you are getting something special rather than what it really is, a watered down base card.

Curious to know if they changed the card count per pack in the blasters as well. They did not mention the blasters with the release info, or did I miss it somewhere?

Here is what I found for Blasters: The release date is 02/28/2024. I'm sure I will be made a liar on that. Retail dates seem to be more sporadic.

I just pre-ordered a hobby jumbo. The price actually has been going down. 2 years ago it was 210.00 for a hobby jumbo. Last year it was 194.00 for a hobby jumbo. This year it was 186.00 for a hobby jumbo. I am not sure if the boxes all held the same amount of cards or not though. I am assuming that they do but I could be wrong.
The hobby box has held steady for 3 years, but the Jumbo Box was reduced this year.
