Just puled this Gu and it has some stuff all over it. Kinda red looking. lol. I see alot of others on e-bay of this card dirty too:

blood when dried will not look red it goes more of a black color so i doubt its blood.

Could be ink from the person inserting the gu/jersey into the card. Best regards, David

it's just dirt embedded in the fibers that didn't wash out.

if there are several more of that same player/card...then maybe the Cardinals' equipment manager is lazy, or the dirt at Busch Stadium is just extra fine.
